Z FOR THE CONCEPT OF 'ZERO' EXISTENCE.. WHAT'S IT LIKE?

Broadly, all my actions at any point of time in my life towards people next me can be grouped into 3 categories..

I) Actions which I have to perform without an exception and if I do not do them, never in life can any other substitute truly makes up for the deficiency generated with a life long regret in me..

All welfare works from my side towards me as well as towards the people with me come under this category and it's ever wisdom on my behalf to say 'YES' to these actions, never postpone them nor go slow there at any point of time in my life..

II) Actions which I have to begin with my involvement but gradually and quickly should taper off so that after a while, the people for whom I have initiated these actions will only be doing them all by themselves..

The responsibility of streamlining the lives of people with me and leaving them into the world as the right matured individuals is core ingredient of these actions..

III) Actions which I needn't and shouldn't propose at any point of time or aid myself for that but totally leave them to people with me except for a minor advising here and there..

In case I am pulled into these actions, I should sincerely try come out at the earliest and remain off from the scene. Here the motto is 'Non Intervention' all the time..

Apart from the above 3, there's one more

ACTION

With me if I perceive myself carefully which forever hangs onto the 2 basic facts of life Viz.,

• TO ERR IS HUMAN and
• BETWEEN A CUP AND LIP THERE ARE MANY SLIPS

Wherein I constantly try

• Making corrections to my mistakes and
• pardoning those who oppose my doings

And thus remain

HUMBLE..

If stuck to that discipline, that

SINGLE NOBLE ACTION

Moves my 'self' towards

THE CONCEPT OF 'ZERO EXISTENCE'

Which of course, is at infinite distance away from me this moment but sure with sails set in that direction paving way to

THE TULIPS NEXT TO ME

Bloom eternally spreading their variety of

• Colors,
• Shapes and
• Occasional fragrant scents!

Y FOR 'YOUNG'.. NO DOUBT ALL WERE YOUNG BUT THE YOUNG MOTHER WAS KNOWING MORE!

A child was temporarily left in the care of a few young well-wishers as the mother had to go on an urgent work for a short time. After sometime, the child started crying and soon it was uncontrollable. All those persons were trying their best to console and keep the child calm till the mother returns..

The 1st young well-wisher said,

“Let's play with the Little One. Play is the best for any child!”

The 2nd young well-wisher asserted,

“More than play, let's divert the child’s attention. This's the method generally used by many mothers!”

The 3rd young well-wisher emphasized,

“Let's move the Little One out for a little while. Fresh air and openness will surely calm the child!”

The 4th young well-wisher reiterated,

“We will put the child to sleep by rocking and singing a song. My mother always used to do that!”

The 5th young well-wisher stressed upon saying,

"All these methods are doubtful. Let's communicate to the child directly. There by the child would be comfortable and crying will simply stop!”

The 6th young well-wisher questioned,

“Have forgotten the most important thing? The child is hungry. Have you noticed it? Let's feed the child immediately!”

The last young well-wisher exclaimed,

“Nothing works so easily. The only way to calm down the child is.. Go to the Little One's level and try to resolve the problem at that level through our simple actions. When the levels match, sure the child responds. I read this technique in some book....”

Thus all of them tried their best to calm down the child but unfortunately, nothing worked.. Some methods appeared working, but failed in no time. Soon all people were helpless...

In the mean time, the mother returned and hearing the cry of her Little One from a distance itself rushed towards the child, hugged and comforted the Little One. Instantly, the child was cool and calm and after a brief rocking by the mother, went to sleep blissfully in few minutes!

X .. THE USUAL 'XYZ' THOUGHTS AND THE GREAT BENEFIT OF SAYING 'NO' TO THEM FOR A WHILE!

As I live through my life, I need to primarily interact in 3 walks of life with me continuously. They are the

Work life,
Family life and
Social life..

In these 3 walks of life at any given moment, there is essentially one

DEMANDING

EXPECTING or
OPPOSING

Personality with me i.e.,

A person who demands more work,
A person who expects more service,
A person who opposes me and expects me do exactly what he/she wants

And there is no exception to this at any time in my life..

At Work, he/she is the Boss, the Colleague, the Subordinate or the Customer..
With Family he/she is the Spouse, the Grown Up or the Other dependent..
Outside Social Life, he/she is the Relation, the Neighbor, the Friend, the Shopman or the Stranger on road..

Here, the ever oft left out question next to me is..

Can I listen to this particular requirement a bit more sincerely?

And that sincere listening involves basically leaving all those

USUAL XYZ THOUGHTS THAT OFTEN OCCUPY MY MIND

Which forever affirm..

'I HAVE DONE ALL THAT REQUIRED!'

And feel within the heart..

‘CAN I ACCOMMODATE HIM/HER A LITTLE MORE THAN WHAT THE RULE SAYS HERE IN MY FAVOR?'

With 'NIL' doubt in me that if I do that way,

'I'LL BE PUT DOWN PERMANENTLY IN MY LIFE!'

If I can truly catch that point, wonders will sure be done in various fields of action with me as this is considered to be the entire 'Gist of Living!'

If I do thus,

PEACE

In no time takes the front seat and

FEAR/WORRY/TENSION

Invariably go back in me!

Should I miss this

GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY

Very much next to me every moment in my life?

W FOR 'WORK'.. WHAT'S IT ULTIMATELY?

It was the closing hrs of shift. As I prepared to leave my place, the Boss called..

"Come to my cabin. Want to discuss with you!"

I was fuming..

"What's this? Can't I go after 8 hrs work?"

The Inner Voice reminded me..

"You got to give all that overtime at work, a few times for no additional remuneration too except for a subsequent time off!"

I soon finished the day's task and came back home expecting long relief the next day being Sunday when the phone rang up..

"The Customer wanted deliveries by Monday. Plan yourself to report to duty at 8 AM sharp tomorrow. Rest we'll talk!"

My spirits of enjoying the Sunday were washed off at one stroke and I was feeling dull for a while..

The Inner Voice cheered me up..

"Working overtime could be demanded on the following weekly off and ensuing holidays too if any up to the number of days as specified in the Factory's Act. The next day to that alone is your real holiday!"

No need to say it was the busiest Sunday and Monday till we delivered the required but in the end, the Boss said..

"Our other Customer Rep is visiting tomorrow and certain deliveries pertaining to them have to be taken care of. Plan for staying overtime today and finish everything!"

I dragged on thus that Monday and Tuesday evenings too, brought the whole situation under control and decided to go on leave on Wednesday..

"Sorry dear, no leave! The next 2 days are crucial for us!"

Said the Boss coolly and I was at a loss..

The Inner Voice again reminded me..

"Leave is the privilege given and not a right to be enjoyed except for discharging certain social responsibilities and meeting sickness!"

I, not knowing how to get off from the situation, decided to pretend sickness and thus go on sick leave for few days..

The Inner Voice cautioned me..

"Do you know? One of your Colleagues did a similar thing a few times in the past and got a reply from the GM..

'Why don't you apply for Medical Retirement?'"

I instantly dropped all those thoughts, did all that is required at my work and felt that I'm safe when

The Inner Voice further cautioned..

"The hold on your job whatever be the number of years of experience is just that 1 to 3 months as per the Contract of Employment beyond which the Boss can always say..

'I don't want you!'

for a reason which he/she should justify to his/her higher-ups but never to you!"

I got shocked and asked,

"Even if I produce and deliver quality work in time?"

The Inner Voice was in all smiles..

"Yes.. In spite of you doing the best from your end some times, the customer may not have enough monies to place order on you or the competitor may quote less and grab your promised order in time!"

'V' FOR.. THE DAY OF 'VICTORY'.. WHAT'S IT LIKE?

“It is a thankless job!”

The young man said sadly.. 

“I do everything in the best possible way and try to support people around. But they are not conscious of that all along and often point out only few of my mistakes which invariably happen here and there. Sometimes I feel like stopping all the activities and keep off totally!”

“No, dear! Do not stop any one of the activities which you are doing presently and maintain the status quo as there is a lot of good lies in this..”

Said an elderly gentleman smilingly and further continued.. 

“Whatever may be the turmoil you face while doing the right activities, unknowingly, you build a fortune for you through your good deeds in the world..

People who are the recipients of those good deeds may not bother about you this moment as they are too engrossed in their own fulfillments and thus do not find time to recognize your goodness.. 

Further, if they encounter a pestering problem at this point of time, they get agitated and in the process you may be the target of attack as you are straight forward and do not oppose unnecessarily.. 

But, let your activities go on with full swing non-stop.. 

The beauty in Nature is that the effects of good accrue faster and always stay in the minds of people forever but at a depth.. 

There will be a day in every one’s life when he/she invariably sees this and that happens soon as the vagaries of Nature are always tuned to reveal these golden jewels at depth and that remains truly

U FOR 'UNLIMITED'.. NO DOUBT.. INNOCENCE AND HAPPINESS!

The neighborhood family just returned home in their newly bought red Lamborghini car. As they were alighting from the car the next door newly moved family along with their 3 yr Little One came out on certain errand. Instantly, the Little One was attracted by the red car in front..

“This one, today only we got it from the show room. How is it looking?"

Asked the owner of the car..

The 3 yr old had never turned off his eyes from the new car. He with all softness, touched it a few times and was looking himself in the shine of the side door for a while. Suddenly, he said in broken words,

"We too have a red Lamborghini car!"

"Oh! You have the same car? Great.. Congrats to you all!"

Surprised with coincidence, the neighbor congratulated the next door family. Before the family could reply, the Little One with all excitement continued..

"We have a red Audi car and a blue BMW car also. 3 cars we have. Do you want to see our cars?

Mummy keeps all the cars in the cup board and gives me daily one for play after my school.. Wait.. Don't go.. I'll get all my cars!"

"Time to get up, dear!"

Cajoled the mom the child of 7 yrs..

"Time to sit for studies.. Already 7 O'clock!"

Instructed the parent the preteen children ..

"Time to relax.. The exams are over!"

Screamed the teenager of 15 yrs..

"These, times are boring.. Nothing to do!"

Murmured, the college student of 18..

"This time, I'll be careful!"

Firmed up the young man of early 20s..

"Times have changed.. I need to have this!"

Said the grown-up son of mid 20s..

"Where's the time? I'm too busy!"

Screamed the young manager of 30..

"You have to give time, some time!"

Suggested the dad of mid 30s..

"Procrastination is the thief of time!"

Warned the teacher of late 30s..

"It's not enough to run, you must start on time!"

Yelled the boss of 40..

"Time and tide wait for none!" (Proverb)

Corrected the dad of early 40s..

"From time immemorial, this practice continues!"

Explained the mentor of mid 40s..

"Time had ripened for him!"

Frowned the opponent of late 40s..

"With time and patience, mulberry leaf becomes silk gown!" (Proverb)

Advised the lady mediator of 50..

"It's his time to answer now!"

Forewarned the seasoned man of early 50s..

"It's time to make place for others!"

Said the Chief Executive of mid 50s..

"You may have hrs but we have only minutes!"

Asserted the seasoned customer of late 50s..

"All times are good when old!" (Proverb)

Said the elderly of 60s..

"God! You have come in time!"

Exclaimed the relieved Relative of early 60s..

"It's critical time.. Let's be proactive and not allow the situation simmer!"

Affirmed the man of wisdom of mid 60s..

"Love kills time; time kills love.. Act in time!" (Proverb)

Advised the man of late 60s..

"Time gone never returns.. Making amends to the wrong done is the only right way in front of all!"

Softly spoke the man of insight of 70..

As the world was thus eternally running after time..

'THE MOUSE RAN UP THE CLOCK; THE CLOCK STRUCK ONE!'

Blissfully was reciting the Little One of 2  and 1/2 years, the half learnt hymn in broken words..

S FOR 'SPIRITUALITY'.. WHAT'S IT LIKE AT THE CORE?

2 young men approached a Saint of an Ashram and requested Him to accept them as His disciples. The Master gave them a particular task to do in full and if possible do beyond and report to Him after a fortnight on the progress. The 2 young men followed the said and returned..

The 1st young man said,

• “Reverend Sir! I could somehow do the job you asked 100%. Fear kept me off doing beyond that!"

The 2rd young man reported,

• “Master! I started doing the job and soon I was convinced of a better way of doing there with certain associated risk and I couldn't do anything less in that context.. There, my intuition propelled me to do in that way and I could never say 'NO' that!"

The Master asked the 1st young man to go back and take up full work and family responsibilities and continue doing those works to perfection and come back if he got any doubt further. As he left, He looked at the 2nd young man and said,

"'Forever ready to do something beyond setting aside one's own fears/inhibitions giving importance to the intuition within!'

Is the primary characteristic of a person in the line of Spirituality..

I advice you continue doing the ordained duties of your with more vigor to the best of your abilities as those noble actions alone are the safeguard to the tender mind established in this line..

Use this intuition of your liberally everywhere constantly making use of liberally the '6Ws' and '1H' with you Viz;

WHY,

WHAT,

WHEN,
WHERE,
WHICH,
WHO &

HOW

And try finding out everything to the core. As you start leading that life, that discipline alone teaches further 

WHAT TO DO and

WHAT NOT TO DO

Take guidance from that and continuously mould your life accordingly. Nothing more is required for you to do in this life in the line of Spirituality!"

R FOR 'OK.. RETIRED..' WHAT NEXT?

One man retired thought..

“Now it's time for me to rest and let the family members take care of all that required. I‘ll play with the Little Ones and spend my time peacefully!”

The Saying may be,

'Freedom is my birth right!'

But equally the Saying is..

'Familiarity breeds contempt!'

In short time, the comments next to him were.. Pampering the Littles Ones beyond staying as an obstacle in their busy life and consuming actively without the required effort..

And the friends and well-wishers around him advised him saying that at his age

'Keeping calm everywhere'

Is the best attitude in life!

The 2nd retired man thought..

“My energies are still intact. I’ll take up an active work where my requirement exists and start earning decent monies again.. Beyond I'll be interacting with the Little Ones around me where possible helping the family members here and there where my time permits!”

The Saying may be..

'No pains, no gains!'

But equally the Saying is..

‘Look before you leap!’

Thus he continued to be more active than permitted for his age, soon the hectic physical movements had their toll on his body and he was advised to rest for a long time..

And the friends and well-wishers around him consoled him saying that at his age

'Slowing down everywhere'

is the best attitude in life!

The 3rd retired man thought..

• “I am retired means my capacities are reasonably down or going to be. Here, let me continue doing all my basic works myself and in addition, work out a few moderate plans for the family members..

• Beyond let me actively interact with the Little Ones and thus be helpful and supportive to the family members in their take care by doing certain specific side works for which they don't find time..

• At the same time let me, if possible devote part of my time for continuation of my profession for an honorarium..

• Equally, let me express and do what I like thru' the inherent expression of mine  and

• Finally, let the thoughts go in the direction of God and let this life move further in that way alone!”

The Saying is..

'Where there is a will there is a way!'

And equally the Saying is..

'Truth alone Triumphs!'

Strangely, the last one alone could reasonably do what he wished for and none commented on, criticized or worked against his decisions..

And the friends and well-wishers around him commended him saying that at his age,

'Being Moderate everywhere'

is the best attitude in life!

Q FOR 'QUIET LIVING'.. WHAT'S IT LIKE?

2 friends visited a distant place on their office duty for a week..

On the 1st day after their work, one decided to go to the nearby busy market area to enjoy his evening and the other preferred to quietly stay back at his own place..

"Great place!"

• The 1st one declared happily on his return and
• The other just smiled and kept quiet..

"Very much refreshed!"

• The 1st one declared very happily on his return on the 2nd day evening and
• The other again smiled and kept quiet..

"It was too good!"

• The 1st one declared with extreme happiness on his return on the 3rd day evening and
• As usual the other smiled and kept quiet..

"I'm happy!"

• The 1st one declared cooly on his return on the 4th day evening and
• The other smiled again and kept quiet..

"____"

• The 1st one declared 'NIL' on his return on the 5th day evening and
• The other remained silent and quiet..

"Damn it; very bad place!"

• The 1st one declared angrily on his return on the 6th day evening revealing that he had a scuffle with some miscreants they roughed him up and
• The other remained quiet..

The next day while returning from the place, for a query on how his friend spent all the evenings, the 2nd one replied with a smile,

“All these days, I never forgot our main purpose of visit to this place and so in the evenings when you were out, I was spending my time with whatever was around closer to me and thus quietly relaxed myself all along for next day's readiness..

If anything could have helped me to become better by involving in your type of activity, I would have been the first one to make use of it..

As that involvement only is enjoying endlessly which of course our minds need limited to refresh, that limited, I got near to me and thus all along remained 

CALM AND QUIET

All the 6 days of our stay here which helped me to do my core activity to the best feasible from my end!”

"Good Morning, Sir!"

“Hello! A very Good Morning to you all.. How are you doing? How's life? Any problems at your end?"

"Sir! I have an issue. My Group has...."
"Sir! Mr Dinesh working with me is...."
"Sir! Last month, there was some shortage of...."

"OK..OK.. OK.. Got your points.. But before that, let me carry the Message of our Chief to you....

• OK.. I've another work now.. You all supervise all that and get me the results by....!”

In another 1 hr time, 

In the Supervisor's

Cubicle No 1..

"Sir! I need some clarification here.... Can we....?"

“No, No, No.. No, I am telling you a big 'No'.. Not at all Listen to me.. No.. No Whatever it be, I don't agree to this..

• OK.. Leave all that.. You start the work and get me the results by....!”

Cubicle No 2..

"Sir! I've a problem.. This month there was...."

“Yes! Yes! Yes.. Yes, I very much agree with you.. Yes.. You are right here.. But.. you see.. Yes.. That alone is the problem here.. Yes..

• OK.. Leave all that.. You just have to start the work and get me the results by....!”

"Sir! Yesterday, that boy working with me Mr.... had done...."

“Alright.. OK.. I agree.. Fine.. Yeah.. Great.. Never expected.. OK.. I understand.. OK.. Nice..

"Sir! I want to you to resolve this one issue...."

Nod.. Nod.. Nod.. "OK, tell me further...." Nod.. Nod.. Nod.. And finally a big double nod with instructions....

"Sir! The job pending with me has a peculiar problem...."

“What are you telling? Where? When did it take place? Who? Which file he wants? Come on.. How can he ask like that?

“Sorry.. Am too busy.. No time.. I don't know what's going on here.. Please no more clarifications on this..

N FOR THE STRANGE 'NO 1' PERSONALITIES OF LIFE!

No doubt he was the

No 1 Genius

Of the town and

He wanted his son too to be

No 1 of That

But the son in no time turned out to be a misfit amidst similar Genius personalities..

The

No 1 Genius

Soon went out of ethics,

Used his clout to forcibly turn a simpleton into a genius and

Thus remained for a while a clown amidst the genius personalities..

But life can never continue thus as

A clown too has own personality of original expression

And that personality sure prompts one to be something in life..

The misfit soon started excelling in his own area

Not talked of much and never carried a big weight on his head and

As more energies had gone in that direction forcibly living amidst genius members,

The earlier normal clown soon became

NO 1 Clown

There..

And one day some one remarked,

"NO 1 Blockhead 

Is born to

NO 1 Genius..

Sure the effect of the dad's past deeds!"

With every one talking on that very quickly as the dad was too famous..

But the Almighty's Scales ever balance and there the

No 1 Genius

And

No 1 Simpleton

Too could never cross the effect of their live deeds in life with the

No 1 Dull Head Son

Not a bit hurt with the talk all along remaining

No 1 Serene and Calm Personality

But the

No 1 Intelligent Dad's

Heart broke into pieces with sharp words thrown at him indirectly and soon he became totally

No 1 Lost Person

M FOR 'MONEY'.. WHERE I SHOULD BE LIBERAL AND WHERE TO TAKE CARE..

The miser refused giving a charity and declared..

"My money takes care of me!"

The wise man smiled and said,

"Sure for the time being.. But soon your progeny takes care to see that it really doesn't take care of you!"

The spendthrift spent away freely and declared..

"God takes care!"

The wise man smiled and said,

"Sure God takes care but only those who take care of themselves!"

The miser said with a protective tone,

"I can buy many things for just Rs 500!" 

The wise man smiled and said,

"Many of those are not really required for you as everything is with you only!"

The spendthrift exclaimed,

"What do you get now a days for a paltry sum of Rs 500?"

The wise man smiled and said,

"A few people make a decent living for few days with that money!"

The miser held Rs 250 tight to his chest and said,

"It costs Rs 250 a week and I can't part with such sums in my life!"

The wise man smiled and said,

"The problem is our life has another max of 2500 such weeks on the average and beyond those notes are taken off from there!"

The spendthrift held Rs 2500 loose in his hand and said,
"It' costs just Rs 2500 a week and my living status can easily afford it!"

The wise man smiled and said,

"The problem is even a million has got just 400 such 2500s but our life on the average is sure more than 400 weeks!"

The miser mused,

"I love to protect my money in the best possible way!"

The wise man smiled and said,

"No problem.. The smart people around looking to pocket that soon will sure help you in that!"

The spendthrift burst out,

"I love to enjoy the world with my money in the best possible way!"

The wise man smiled and said,

"No problem.. The smart people around you looking to relax at your cost will sure help you in that!"

L FOR 'LITTLE ONE'.. MAY BE LITTLE ONE, BUT NEVER LESS HIS OBSERVATION AND EXPERIMENTATION!

The Little One was nearing 3 & 1/2 years. He got a gift from one of his close well-wishers on an occasion..

A sophisticated toy car made of good plastic with colorful markings on the body in built with features of automatic operation comprising of various movements and steering control thru' the remote..

To say it straight..

A toy worth of a few thousands and a rugged design along with flashing colorful lights and musical sounds..

Anybody at a first look at the car, would definitely say..

'The designer of the toy was to be put on Record for the innovative idea he/she brought out in that context!'

The parent handed over the toy to the child with all pride and showed him the operation of its various features for certain time..

The display was quite interesting and definitely a feature of astonishment to the Little Boy. He took the toy with great enthusiasm and kept close to him for a while..

The parent left the room and moved a little distance away for a short time as another urgent requirement came up but only after assuring self that the child was in perfect safe environment..

The Little One quickly studied the features of the toy car very carefully. Then, he started his own Experiment..

The front wheels were colorful and were moving freely.. He rolled the wheels for a while front and back and tried to pull out one wheel axially..

It was quite strong for the tiny hands but was weak in front of the enthusiasm to explore. As he started hitting the car on the ground rolling to and fro a number of times, the wheel had no go but to yield and came out just like that..

The Little one's enthusiasm doubled and before that with a similar work out, another wheel became the victim..

The child started rolling the two wheels with both hands for quite some time..

Subsequent to that, his attention was on the colorful remote. Soon a movement was forced with the tiny hands thru repeated hitting and sliding on the ground like a bus, the battery door gave way and the two batteries inside came off just like that. The door was slid and the cover for the compartment was out..

The 6 small batteries were the center of attraction for the child and in no time his tiny hands were laid on the red batteries. Everything works out, if the attempt is not half hearted. Here too it happened and in a short time

All the batteries were successively out one by one! The sound and light were off instantly and the remote control was totally dead!

The Little One soon started scratching the car on ground to and fro with his hands and in no time there were great marks on the body all round along with the original markings.. With scratches everywhere, 

The Classic Piece just lost its original glitter and shine without an exception!

Having thus completed his Great Investigation successfully, the little one left for the next task leaving the damaged piece behind!

I FOR 'I'.. I (ME) ALTERNATING BETWEEN NOBODY AND SOMEBODY!

When I was a child, I was 'Nobody' and there,

It's my mother that made me 'Somebody' by

Constantly assuring me, 

'I am  there for you!' 

When I went to school, I was 'Nobody' and there,

It's my teachers that made me 'Somebody' by

Constantly encouraging me saying,

 'Learn, learn, learn!'

When I went to college, I was 'Nobody' and there,

It's my dad that made me 'Somebody' by

Constantly pulling me up saying, 

'Grow up.. Grow up.. Grow up!'

When I went to work, I was 'Nobody' and there,

It's my Bosses that made me 'Somebody' by

Constantly driving me saying, 

'Work.. Work.. Work!'

When I came into my surroundings, I was 'Nobody' and there,

It's the wise elders around me that made me 'Somebody' by

Constantly advising me, 

'Take up family responsibilities!'

When I became the senior citizen at the back of retirement and grown up children becoming busy with their own responsibilities, I thought I became again 'Nobody' and there,

It's my Little Grand Child that made me 'Somebody' by

By shouting into my ears with all warmth, 

'Grand Pa! Im here.. Let's play!'

K FOR 'KNOWLEDGE'.. KNOW-WHY vs KNOW-HOW!

### It was a job certain complex plumbing connections..

The junior plumber was worried.. 

With the plumbing connections in front, he memorized the right spanner pressure he had to apply and hammer force he had to use to make the connections in front leak proof..

The senior plumber was cool..

He took the hammer, gave 2 strokes, took out the parts loosened and re connected new pipes and with few turns made exact pressure connection..

"Not a drop leaks now.. I assure!"

He said, took his monies and walked off heroically with his junior!

### The furnace in the metal industry was very hot. The flame was bright and white in color throwing out a lot of heat..

The young technician was worried..

"The temperature measuring instrument appears sleek and I can't easily take it near the flame and position it there. I should carefully do it. Let me read the Dos and Don'ts in this context, follow them meticulously with necessary precautions and then only go near to the furnace!"

The senior technician cool..

"Note down the temperature I tell.. Now the flame is steady.. It's......deg C... The variation is + or -...  deg C.. The color of the flame very much confirms that right temp required.. Ready the items to be heated!"

### A unit had to be installed on a platform in the heavy industry workshop where the fixing was a little complicated with narrow twisted entrance..

The young workman was worried..

"To fix this unit at the back, how to reach there, install the unit and tighten the bolts? There's no go, I should design a sophisticated tool here. Let me brush up my tool design knowledge for a while!"

The senior workman was cool..

He directed the young man to bring the unit, himself sat in a comfortable position at a height, slowly put the unit into the tunnel like space positioning it on it's seating area, introduced a spanner into the duct and tightened the 4 mounting bolts with his experienced hands!

### A member entered the library and requested help for locating 2 books for borrowing purpose..

The young librarian was worried..

He quickly caught hold of the Index Nos of the books and straight headed to the related shelves but found them not there. He was in certain confusion when he equally found the status of the 2 books as not issued..

The senior librarian was cool..

He looked at his watch and said to the young librarian,

"Go straight, at the end turn right, go to the end and search in rack at the corner on the top shelf. The 1st book will be there. Again, do the same exact the opposite end, the 2nd book will be there. They are the places the regular readers usually hide their favorite books..

The 1st book sure will be there but may not be the 2nd book. Then tell the member that it's with the tall and thin man fair in color with thick spectacles sitting in the corner to the right of the second reading table. The member can request that visitor in case he needs the book very badly!"

J FOR 'JEALOUSY'.. HOW IT OVERPOWERS ME IN TIME!

“We miss each other dear! The college days were so interesting. Can never forget all those precious moments.. I promise.. We may be parting today but our friendship never fades and grows ever stronger in the days coming!”

Saying thus the young man bid bye to his bosom friend tears rolling down his cheeks..

When 'Jealousy' can never be thought of in him in respect of his friend..

Days passed.. The friend got into a company whose Management in a short time deputed him for higher studies. The young man too joined another company..

“Dear! Your company bosses appear to be highly encouraging. Best of luck!”

He wished his friend on the eve of his deputation

When 'Jealousy' took birth in him at micro level..

A few years passed. The friend had grown to the Manager's level in his company. The young man, not so young by then continued to be at lower level..

“Congrats on your promotion, dear! Your company seems to be quite good. Here, I find no such encouragement!”

Were his comments on the day of the friend's promotion,

When 'Jealousy' in him started talking softly..

Some more years passed.. The friend had shot up to the Senior Position in his Organization..

“Congrats on your achievement. Best of luck! I'm OK!”

Were the few words from the then middle aged man who could become just a Manager by then,

When 'Jealousy' openly started cutting short the talk..

“You know! Mr______ has been appointed as Deputy Chief of our company from out side. Seems to be very smart guy!”

Was the talk on a day and the man already knew that it was his friend only..

"Congratulations!"

He just said along with others and moved away,

When 'Jealousy' peaked in him with cursing happening within..

“They both were classmates!”

Some one was commenting..

"So what? It doesn't mean I should have done what all he had done.. Don't talk rubbish!"

He said and curtailed the talk then and there,

When 'Jealousy' started speaking out openly..

In a year, the friend became the GM of the company and the man could max become the Head of his Dept. On fine day, some one heard him talking softly in the ears of one of his colleagues..

“Dear! You know.. Our new GM.. Difficult to deal with him, Yaar.. He points out on everything. We might have been class mates but that doesn't mean, we were close friends. These people, when they come to power so easily quickly forget that long ago........... Unfortunately I'm caught here not able to go anywhere!”

When 'Jealousy' ultimately engulfed the then elderly man making him rage within endlessly!

I might have taken incessantly all those

GREAT STEPS

Of managing sensitive issues of life to core towards success with a 

SHORT PRAYER TO GOD,

I might have taken meticulously all those

CRITICAL STEPS

Of following to the root in projecting myself as the best man in my work area with a 

LONG PRAYER TO GOD,

I might have taken endlessly all those

CRUCIAL STEPS

Of going after the various Health Management issues of day to day life with an 

IN DEPTH PRAYER TO GOD,

I might have taken continuously all those

UNNECESSARY STEPS

Of pleasing everywhere doing many extras to uphold my name and fame with a 

LOUD PRAYER TO GOD,

I might have taken no less pains to physically climb all those

ONE THOUSAND STEPS

Of reaching various Shrines located on tops of hills offering huge donations with 

ELABORATE PRAYERS TO GOD but

When I miss, in the words of the Great Saint how the

GRACE OF GOD 

Truly descends on an individual

'Take One Step towards Me; I move Ten towards you!'

and I do not take that

SINGLE SACRED STEP

Of

Losing myself for a moment and helping the man in difficulty next to me wholeheartedly

NO PRAYER TO GOD

Was offered from my end all my life!

F FOR 'FLIGHT.'. FUN FOR A WHILE!

### The Frequent Traveler Boss and his less traveled Assistant were traveling by Flight on their Outstation Duty. The Flight took off, leveled and was cruising at constant speed the engines roaring with uneasy sounds..

The Boss plugged in a pair of ear plugs to avoid the engine noise, left seat vertical and seat belt 'ON' and asking his Assistant to wake him before landing, dozed off. His wrist watch moved for a while and stopped.. 

Soon having completed its level flight, the Aircraft descended to lower heights and at the back of necessary landing preparations started the final descent to the touch down point..

“Sir! We've reached. The Aircraft is landing!”

Said the Assistant loudly into his Boss' ears..

The Boss moved a bit with the ear plugs on, looked at his watch with half eyes closed and instantly shouted at the Assistant, 

“What are you talking? Still 45 minutes Flight time is there. How can it land now? It's cruising at 33000 ft height! Are you clear?”

The Assistant fed up with the Boss' usual style of talk said with a sarcastic smile, 

“Yes, Sir! you are right.. The Flight is really cruising in skies at 33000 feet. But, Sir! There are trees, roads, vehicles and buildings in the sky at this great height. Isn't that strange?”

### A man tensed up all the time to travel frequently to an earth quake prone area on office work was told by his friends to take good advice from an Expert..

Accordingly one day he met the Expert, briefed him his problem saying, 

“Sir! I feel that the ground on which I stay should be firm and not shaky. I am tensed up if the same platform is not firm and can shake at any time!”

The Expert smiled and said, 

"Dear! I'll make you strong in a minute. See, the Flight in which you travel frequently to this place too is not stable and invariably shakes a few times in every travel. Are you not cool there? It is similar.. Think right, you are cool!"

Later, the Expert was enthusiastic to know the change he could bring in the man thru' his unique advice and accordingly he made an enquiry with one of his friends.. The friend said, 

“Sir! It has become worse. Presently he is afraid of going by Flight too!”

### The Passengers were ready for boarding the scheduled Flight. Suddenly, the announcement came,

"Ladies and Gentlemen! One of the ground vehicles had touched the Aircraft and damaged the paint outside the skin. The Flight can't take off till the Experts decide on the rework and the same is completed. I request you all to be patient and relax!”

The passengers murmured within but there was no go and they patiently waited in the lounge as snacks and drinks were served. Time moved on and after a delay of nearly 5 hrs, the boarding announcement came up and the tired passengers quickly boarded the plane, occupied their seats and put on their seat belts. All was ready for the take off..

Before switching off, one of the passengers was heard speaking on his mobile phone aloud.. 

“It's too much..  For a small repair, the Flight is held up for 5 hrs. We started now and on the way, if the pilot makes up for the delay, it's good. Instead if the Flight is further delayed, God knows, when we reach!”
