POST 15 - HAPPY MAHA SHIVRATRI.. A SOLUTION BY ITSELF! #WriteAPageADay

The time was 6 o’clock the early morning hrs. The family away at native place reminded the gentleman on telephone that as the day was Mahashivaratri, he should go to Temple and offer his Prayer to Lord Shiva. If can't do so due to busy work schedules, he should atleast, do minimum Puja at home and then only go for his work..

The gentleman because of his urgent works with no holiday on the day had decided to carry out Puja at home in the evening only after his return! 

He was soon ready for the day’s Event. After all, the whole program was because of his great effort put in thru’ all those days and he was equally proud of that. The telephone rang..

• “Sorry, Sir.. There's a small problem. We request you to put up with....!”

The gentleman was instantly annoyed.. 

• “What dear? This'll push my other activities at least by 20 minutes. I have to rush now. OK! Please take care!”

He was soon in his car. Yes.. He should be moving else nothing moves. At a junction, there was certain traffic jam..

• “The road is blocked. They are diverting the traffic!” 

Some one was saying.. He took out his phone..

• "Dear! I am held up on the way. Immediately, take care of that work which we discussed yesterday. I'll buy the required planned....” 

He diverted his car into a lane and moved to a near by Market Area to make few purchases..

• “Sir! For the past 3 days, there's a Strike going on in. Some of these items are presently not available….”
• “God! Where else I get them? I need these very urgently….”
• “You can try at….”

Soon, the gentleman rushed to the place suggested. While returning with the required items, the telephone rang up..

• “Sir! It seems our payments have not reached the party. They are holding the release of….”
• "Oh! Dear! What I've to do now?”
• “You can give a call to their Chief….”

The gentleman was confused for a while. It was already 1230 PM. As he was about to dial the number, the telephone rang up..

• “Sir! You have to come urgently to....”
• “Yaar! Sorry, I forgot!”
• “Sir! At least you can spend 15 mts here and oversee the minimum required. Rest we'll manage!”

The gentleman involuntarily made a U turn. As he speeded up, all of a sudden the front tyre gave way..

There was exactly 4 hrs time for the Event to start and it was total chaos and utter confusion in front. He quickly parked the car to a side, hired a taxi and started moving feeling totally helpless..

At the immediate next signal point as the taxi stopped, he suddenly heard the Sacred Panchakshara (The Five-syllable) Mantra 'Om Namah Shivaya' being recited melodiously on the loud speakers near Lord Shiva Temple at a distance..

The gentleman involuntarily closed his eyes and started reciting the Sacred Mantra in low tone in tune with what was being heard. And to his great surprise he found himself instantly at peace his mind slowly becoming cool and calm in spite of having a big challenge in front in few hrs of time.. 

There was a Unique Message..

"Feeling totally helpless, as one surrenders with an unfailing Faith that None other than the Lord alone Moves the Entire, Peace is instantly bestowed upon the individual in place of the earlier despair and turmoil!"

"Whenever, I plan a meticulous program, I take the best care and at the end, Offer my Prayer to God!"

"Why do you Pray to God here?"

"Because, whatever be my plans, they have to go smoothly!"

"This Prayer to God only when you plan something?"

"Yes.. If all important plans go successfully, what else one wants in life?"

"I work from dawn to dusk and after simple dinner and small engagement with family, instantly fall asleep. Morning as I get up and freshen myself, I'm back to my work. I don't understand what that extra care I should take, you all are talking of?"

Queried the humble worker with a simple smile!

A young man approached a Saint in a Monastery and asked him a question thus..

“Reverend sir,  All Great People and the Great Books on Philosophy say that the Ultimate in life is..

'An individual should be happy!'

As I look at myself, I am finding that I am happy all the while to

• Do my works sincerely,
• Follow all the rules,
• Lead a disciplined life and
• Help the people in need all along.. 

No doubt my happiness is disturbed due to vagaries of life and  I sincerely believe that whatever be the situation I should come out of it and start a new life even though I haven't tested that in tough situations.. 

Above all, I daily Pray to God and sincerely believe that He alone is the Ultimate Care Taker!

Thus, I am finding that I am doing the best possible in my life and this way if my life is going on and can reasonably go on, what else I have to learn in a Monastery under the care of a Master?”

The Saint looked at the young man and said thus, 

“My dear! I agree that there is nothing you can learn here under my care beyond what you are doing presently as that is the best discipline of your life. Continue doing that way and lead your life happily. But promise me that you will not deviate from your discipline at any point of time in your life!”

The young man nodded his head, took Blessings from the Saint and left the place. As he left, a Disciple who was all the while listening to the conversation asked the Master,

"Master!  He wanted to know something beyond what he is doing presently but he was sent away without an answer!"

The Saint smiled at him and said, 

“Yes.. I could see that Question Mark on his face which I shouldn't answer now and had it not been there, he would not have approached me today. Let that Question remain with him. It needs to gain Momentum and the life he is going through presently alone gives that Momentum to it. When it does take place, he will surely be coming to me or going to a similar Place again and at that point of time alone he can get the Right Answer. Till that time, his present activities alone are safe for him and not beyond!”

I said proudly..
"Interesting!"

The wise man said..
"He is hard working!"

"Sincere in his work!"

I asserted..

"Nice!"

The wise man replied..

"Honest in all dealings!"

Double, I asserted..
"Fantastic!"

The man of wisdom concurred..
"Polite in behavior!"

I said smilingly..
"Excellent!"

Again concurred the wise man..
"Patient all the time!"

I reiterated..
"The No1 Behavior required!"

Said the man of wisdom..
"More than all, always cheerful!"

I commended..
"Nothing less you have!"

Cheered the wise man..

"My worry is.. If such a man goes away.. Can't imagine.. Ok.. No worries, the ultimate is with me because I am the Pay Master and I know how to retain good working person!"

I expressed my inner feeling..

"What all you said.. I agree to and you should give best incentives known to you within your limits to retain the man with you at all costs. But..."

Replied the man of wisdom..

"What else, Sir?"

I queried..

"Dear! If 'X', working with me goes away, I'll get 'Y' in that place!"

Said the wise man..

"But the new person sure will not be the same level!"

I expressed my doubt..

"No doubt, dear.. Chance wise,

"A small percentage only.. You'll get similar or better person,

On an average, you'll get an approximate suitable person and you train the person to the requirement,

Maximum percent, you'll get a person just like that and you train him the best!"

Replied the man of wisdom..

"But still it'll not 100% of today?"

I shot back..

"You'll make it almost of today by yourself doing remaining petty works!"

Said the wise man looking into my eyes..

"Still it's almost only!"

I expressed my doubt..

"In such a situation,

You will 100% adjust mentally to lose that small left out!"

Said the wise man with a smile!

"Given a chance, I with family want to visit these 4 most beautiful spots on the earth and spend our time endlessly!"

The person mused aloud..

Instantly the Good Spirit appeared in front and blessed the individual saying,

"Your wish is being satisfied.. Right now you are given the boon.. Hereafter, on every holiday of yours, you with family will be shifted to these 4 most beautiful places by turn non stop!"

"Shifted?"

"Yes!"

"By turn?"
"Yes!"
"Non stop?"
"Yes!"
"Only to these places?"
"Yes!"
"No choice of being at our own place on a holiday?"
"No!"

"No.. No.. I don't want the boon!"

"Why? You only said just now..

"Yes.. 

All our travel plans should be with my family and me only.. We only should decide

• How to go and
• How to spend time at the new place..

If a boon is deciding this on our behalf, it is no more a boon, only a curse!"

Thus were going on my thoughts endlessly. The wise personality in distance was seen smiling at me asking..

"Along with these, have you mastered one more thing?"

"What's that, Sir?"

I shot back..

"Have you Mastered your 'Self?'

"Means?"

Does the 'Self' in you listen to you
As you forego something and
That reaches the eligible one next
Out of your full freedom?"

"Yes.. Dear! No doubt, worldly achievements are great and you should never stop working in that direction but that feeling should keep you further active making you discover your 'self' too to whatever level it be and you  should start living that life with all humility..

"I AM ALSO A DOOR!"

On a day..

"The front door isn't closing properly and there's..."

"Oh! It's is getting jammed while closing!"

"Yeah! It's not getting closed fully.. There's some interference!"

"Because of rains, the wooden door expanded a bit.. There's interference when we try to close it!"

"Where's the carpenter?"

"He is not answering the call!"

"Let's call another one.. Can't postpone doing the repair!"

"Can't close it fully.. What to do at night?"

"The door need to be kept open thru' out the day.. Only at night we push it hard for closing!"

"If it does open in the morning? We are trapped!"

"It happened.. Once.. The door is pulled hard from inside, the handle came out!"

"Worried of some creatures entering the house.. Need to put some packing at the bottom at least in day time!"

"The carpenter is calling.. One min.. Hello.. Yes.. You should come immediately.. It's a big problem!"

"We lock and go out by pulling, if the door gets jammed, we can't enter the house!"

"Should we need to shift to hotel room for a day?"

"The carpenter says, he can come only tomorrow morning!"

"Tell him we give extra tips, he needs to come now!"

"Hello.. Yeah.. We give your cab charges and some extra tips.. Please come and do something for the present.. We can change the door later!"

"No.. Changing is another problem.. The two locks and latches have to be refitted.. Better avoid that!"

"Isn't it wisdom, we've 2 doors at entrance.. Then we'll always have stand by.. It's double safety too!"

"Yes.. It's a good idea.. Let's see!"

"Hello.. Yes.. God.. He is here.. Our savior!" 

"Please come.. You are in time.. Do needful.. Don't worry about your payment!"

On another day..

"The door leading to living room is not closing properly and there is..."

"No problem.. Busy with our coming up travel plans and lots of things to be taken care.. Also we need to look into.... and  at least give an answer to.... No breathing time.. Let's look into all these minor issues on return after 3 months.. Ok.. I'm on to my job now!"

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY.. A UNIQUE RESPONSIBILITY WELL DISCHARGED!

My letter at any point of time to my father goes thus..

'Dear Father,

When I was 10 yrs old.. Mother said, “Go to the temple, Pray to God and come back. The Almighty takes care of you!”

Along with that she reminded me of the procedures to follow there..

I was too enthusiastic.. Went there and exactly did what my mother told but for the final ringing the bell as I had to jump since I couldn't reach that height, I was harshly told by the Authorities to go away and not to cause nuisance in the Premises leaving me totally confused and tensed up at that tender age..

You instantly rose to the occasion.. You intervened and made it clear to the Authorities that children are the Incarnation of God and it was wrong to admonish me who was devotedly doing what others do with my own limitation.. 

Restoring my confidence back to 100%!

Soon I had grown to a young adolescent of 18 and constant questioning / advices started pouring into my ears from you shaking my confidence a bit temporarily..

• “What happened to the work I asked you to finish yesterday?”
• “I told you to go and talk to that man and tell him.... Why did you not do that and wasted the whole day?”
• “Go to the place, wait till the man turns out, talk to him and tell him….!”
• “Dear! In your age, you know.. I had taken up a big responsibility of..... These are also like that only!”
• “OK! You might have done this now, but don’t relax..Tomorrow, we are together going and getting the monthly needs for our house!”

As planned we both went there, I was made to involve in buying and bringing all that stuff in a small open van along with you. On the way as the vehicle maneuvered a steep up, it suddenly swiveled and rested on the edge of the road tilting precariously towards the side slope..

You instantly jumped out of the vehicle shouting,

• "Dear! Leave everything and get down first!"

And as I just got off in a hurry letting off the items in my hand, you hugged me and comforted me with the tins of oil, few powders and some items thrown on to road by the side standing as the true testimony of your ever available support if an exigency calls for..

Restoring my confidence back to 100%!

Finally, when I being a grown up personality of mid 30s was in the process of changing over my job, you wished me all the best along with a simple caution..

• "I may be none here to intervene as the present crucial decision may help you to come up further better in your life and a few times may not help you and instead may create a problem.. Discuss the matter in detail with your colleagues and other contemporary well wishers keeping my doubt fresh in the mind.. Best Wishes.. I'm sure you would be a success!"

Ticking that confidence almost a 100%!

My Endless Regards and Thanks for the Noble Job you did in bringing me up to a personality level of laudable worth and confidence from almost nothing standing by my side all the time strongly supporting me all along!'

I WANTED TO BE WHEN I WAS GROWING UP....

In class 7th.. 

I wanted not to participate in giving speech during my elocution period but my dad met my class teacher and included my name saying..

• "Select one of the topics, prepare well and speak!"

In Class 9th.. 

I wanted not to participate in a voluntary service out of fear but my dad knowing about it, came to my school and included my name saying..

• "You should involve in such works once in a way!"

In class 10th..

I wanted to have some money and asked my dad..

• “Pass your schooling with good rank first. Till then I'll only buy for you what you want!”

He said..

In class 11th..

I wanted to sleep more in the early morning hrs of winter..

• "Why are you still sleeping? Wasting precious morning hrs. Of late, you are missing many tasks which I asked you to do!"

My dad's voice was heard loud..

In class 12th.. 

I was not interested to write exams as I was thru' the local competitive exam.  But my dad made me apply for every exam I was eligible saying,

• "You should know what competition means!"

In college..

I wanted to have my own money as my friends carried theirs but he refused saying,

• “Take this for this month and let me see where it goes!”

In my job..

I wanted to give my first salary to my dad for his use..

• “Keep sufficient monies for your personal needs and give me only the balance. I'll save it for you!”

He said.. 

After few years..

I wanted to venture into certain investing and as I had no enough savings, I asked my dad for the investment but he replied..

• “Monies are precious and never in excess. Don't ask me anything!”

After some more years.. 

I shot back..

“Want to do planned investment but can't meet all those extra expenses without a support. If you don’t support, how can I grow in my life?”

• "NIL"

Was my dad's answer there.. 

After few months.. 

I firmed up to invest without any help from my dad but he said with a smile..

• “Take this one time check from me as support. At this stage I can venture this much alone into your investment. As planned, for the balance go for a loan!"

And continued beyond..

• "In the coming days, you'll be taking up many turmoils and cut throat competitions in your work and later greater family responsibilities in your life. That way, the list may be endless but the foundation for that is laid firmly and brought to this level. Best Wishes!"
