"Sir! How secure is my job with my Company?"

"Dear! To continue have hold on your job,

You need to perform; your Company needs to perform!"

"What it means when you say.. Need to perform?"

"It means.. 

You should get profits to your Company directly or indirectly and grow; your Company should make profit out of sale of the contributions of all of its Employees like you and grow!"

"I understand, I should get profit to my Company thru' my contribution. But why growing is a must?"

"If you don't grow, you are doing the same work but  drawing more pay with time. Whereas, a young person who is more energetic is ready there to do your job for less pay..

No Company can afford to pay you like that unless you grow and give back more returns to the Company!"

"Ok.. In respect of my Company making profit, it's not me at fault as long as I turn out quality work which gets profit. They have to restructure themselves by trimming their work force. That way my job is safe!"

"No doubt, they do that but at times whatever you do, it may not happen!"

"Why so?"

"Because of the market forces around. The demand for product may change as well as the customer may change his/her preferences!"

"Ok.. Understood.. But the Company has to grow, why?"

"It's simple.. The Company has been set up to meet the growing demands of people and cater for their more numbers.  If the Company is not able to rise to that occasion, it should make way for another Company ready to do that!"

"Ok.. Then both Companies can exist side by side.. Why close one Company?"

"Your Company uses precious resources the Government provides like land, water supply, electricity, transport and other infrastructure which are ever limited. No Government can allow its precious resources be used by a Company which does not answer the ultimate question for which it is set up, Viz.,

IS IT SERVING PEOPLE?"
