SPIRITUAL LIFE IS NEVER DIRECTLY FOR ME WITH DORMANT MUNDANE INTERESTS VERY MUCH CLINGING TO ME! #WRITEAPAGEADAY

A young man had certain misfortune in his life. He was totally depressed for a while and was in the process of slow recovery with people around helping him thru' their advices and counseling.

Life in front looked almost disheartening to the young man and he had various thoughts in his mind how to rehabilitate himself in the situation. People around proposed various solutions but he was never satisfied with any one of them.

After a lot of thinking, he finally firmed up to approach an Ashram, enroll there and do sincere service to the cause.. And he felt that in that way alone he would ultimately be peaceful!

Having decided upon thus, on a good day at the appropriate time after his work, he visited the nearest famous Ashram and sought an interview with the Head of the Ashram..

The Head welcomed the young man, listened to him patiently on his proposed action, paused for a while and finally said,

"Dear! Your personality and thoughts as on date are not ripened for active participation in the Ashram activities. Not joining the Ashram, they do not allow you to do even a part time job here.

You can just pay visits to this place like rest of the people that too only after discharging all your ordained responsibilities to the core that are there with you this moment. Please go back and live your life thus and be at Peace!"

Having seen no go, the young man readied himself to leave the place paying his salutations to the Head. The Head blessed him saying,

"Please Remember.. Even if you firm up in taking up a job here with your inner nature as on this day being not for that, it soon creates a certain conflict and unbalance in you and starts misguiding you in the day to day management of Ashram activities leading to a sure chaos around.

That is neither good for you nor for the Ashram and its Inmates and every one around would suffer. Thus to say, there is no place for you here at this moment!”

Concurring with what the Head had said, Sloka 4 from Chapter 3 of Srimad Bhagavad Gita was simultaneously heard being recited melodiously on the Ashram Loud Speakers with the meaning explained in parallel..

Na karmanam anarambhan naiskarmyam puruso snute
na ca sannyasanad eva siddhim samadhi gacchati

A person can never achieve freedom by reacting to the activities (enjoying as well as suffering) without first performing prescribed vedic duties in front (to the requirement). Neither perfection would be attained by one by renouncing them as well (by involving in some other works).
