U - THE UNIQUE CUSTOMER CARE! A2Z 2026


This is 20 years back story..

“You have been selected as one of our Esteemed Customers. In this context, please visit our Main Branch at…. to experience the 

Unique Customer Care

We offer!"

Was the message on the mobile phone. The gentleman was thrilled beyond as a long time pending issue of his needed a solution and anyway he was planning to visit the Branch.. 

Accordingly on the particular day, he visited the said Branch. Instantly he was welcomed and taken into an AC chamber..

The area was neatly arranged.. 

Few sofas were onto one side, where the Customers could seat comfortably and on the opposite side 3 Help Desks were there with a young man and a young woman moving around briskly to assist the activities.. 

In the center, was a table with beautiful decorative flowers on it along with few newspapers and magazines by the side. The cool weather of the Chamber was truly relaxing for any one who just entered in getting off the heat of outside..

One of the Assistants offered him Coffee with a smile and the gentleman acknowledged the same and happily sipped the hot drink..

In short time, his turn came, he was lead to one of the Desks and the person at the Counter 

Listened to his problem, 
Took his papers, 
Went through them thoroughly and said, 

“Sir! Everything is crystal clear here and yours is a straight forward case. Bear with us for 2 working days, your problem is resolved. Please relax.. Nothing to worry!” 

Having said that he bid bye to his Esteemed Customer with a broad smile..

The gentleman returned home happily as ultimately his pending problem was taken care fully. He waited for 2 days but nothing great had happened his problem continuing non stop. He became a bit unhappy and was planning to ring up the concerned, the next working day..

That evening, he was on his usual walk in the park and after the walk, as he was resting there for a while, he overheard a few lines of conversation between two contemporary men of his age sitting a little away..

“I had the problem.... for a week.. I went to the Branch at.. and there was a big queue. I had to wait for over an hr to get my turn. But the waiting was worth. The person at counter 12 is the right one to clarify to you on this. I went to him, he just set right the issue in front of me and said, ‘Done!’ That's it; my problem is resolved once for all!"

"One more thing.. When you enter the Main Building, don't go into the right AC room. That's for VIP Customers; not for people like us!”

As the gentleman thought over, slowly it became evident to him that it was nothing but more of a 'Show' that was offered to him at the Branch Office without the real ‘Know-how’ with the people who were supposed to resolve his issue. In that way, he got

'Unique Customer Care'

From the Service Provider losing the 

'The Required Customer Care'

Which, the normal people were straight away getting all the time!
