IT'S NO DOUBT.. A 24 HR JOB, 365 DAYS!

The Master taught us the following moral story..

  • A vicious snake was attacking everyone on the way. A Saint passing that way advised the reptile not to do that and somehow the snake was convinced and decided to follow the Great Man's advice. On His return, the Saint saw the earlier healthy and vibrant snake almost in a dying condition.. Upon enquiry, the snake said that as it stopped giving back, every one started attacking it and thus it became…. The Saint smiled and said,
"I advised you not to bite but not to hiss!"
  • When, the Great man was out, a few who used to oppose Him, attacked the Ashram. The inmates kept quite following the Great Man’s ever given Advice of no violence. On return the Great Man having found what happened, said,
“You together should have given back to stop the attack. Simply keeping quite under the pretext of no violence is just a cowardice act!”
  • When Prince Arjuna was sad and giving imagined explanations to what would happen if he killed his own near and dear, Lord Krishna advised,
“Fight like a warrior and end the evil. This alone is your duty now. Don't be carried away unnecessarily with the feelings of ‘Near and dear’ in the present context!”

The Great Advices given thus indicate an important message to ordinary mortals like me..

No doubt, it's always better I refrain from calling and identifying as much as

'Mine'

But there, it never, never takes me out from the responsibility that I'm the

'Time Bound Owner' or 'Trusty'

Of that!

Thus seen, it's ever the Sacred Duty with me to be protecting the required as per the responsibilities in front of me as I continue my living on the earth..

This owner’s responsible presence should be felt in all walks of life else control over the situations and owned items will be lost soon and chaos alone prevails..

Distance control/ remote control generally fails because it is well known to the mischief makers that the owner has the difficulty of movement and immediate action.. This weakness or incapacity triggers thoughts detrimental to the cause both in the outside world many times with the remote agency too detailed for distance management.. The ideal method here would be making every one around feel or sense that..

‘The owner is very much available around!’

And for this to happen, the owner should work meticulously with alertness all the time!

In nearness too, attitudes like callousness, believing beyond, laziness and too many enjoyments around make the owner’s physical presence felt less or no effective.. The ideal method here would be making every one around feel or sense that..

'The owner never get's off from his/her care!'

Thus alone continues my responsibility in this world..

AS TRUE OWNER

As long as my life continues on earth whatever may be

My interests,
My aspirations and
My achievements

Otherwise!

Keywords: owner, responsibility

  2. Over years, we have only learnt the first line of the complete mantra - 'Ahinsa Paramo Dharma'. Probably, the second line was removed to keep us in control for all the good reasons.

And here's what it is when one reads the actual complete mantra:-

    अहिंसा परमो धर्मः
    धर्म हिंसा तथैव च:

Non violence should be the ultimate dharma - however, for the sake of dharma, even violence is valid.

The most important aspect of dharma - a warrior must fight without the fear of the outcome, remorse and emotions.

Everyone has a warrior in oneself; unless and until they are awakened to fight.
