RIGHT.. WHAT'S IT LIKE?

(One of the Nasreddin Hodja's stories heard in my childhood the credit of which goes 100% to the Original Author of the same!)

Once when Hodja was serving as qadi, one of his neighbors complained to him on another neighbor.. Hearing him full, Hodja said,

"You are right!"

After he left, the other neighbor came to Hodja and complained on the first man. After hearing him full Hodja said,

"You are right!"

Hearing both his wife asked in private that how can both neighbors be right. Hodja replied,

"You are right!"

Once a man wanted certain change in his associate. He approached a wise man and asked him how to bring the change in his associate. The wise man advised,

"Let him continue his way of doing often you saying to him.. 

• 'Fine, no problem.. Let it be.. Doesn't matter.. Everything is OK!'"

The man took the advice and started implementing the same..

• It looked initially encouraging to his associate, 
• That soon made him doubt a small part of his actions,
• Further in time that doubt rose and
• Finally settled at a point of action with certain change in him!

The man complained to the wise man that full effect of his advice was not there. The wise man replied,

• 'Fine, no problem.. Let it be.. Doesn't matter.. Everything is OK!'"

Seen thus if, 

ABSOLUTE RIGHT

Is compared to an elephant,..

• One holding the trunk, may feel that that's what an elephant is,
• One holding the leg, may feel that that's what an elephant is,
• One holding the tail, may feel that that's what an elephant is,

With none knowing what exactly an elephant is..

In such a scenario, 

Each one is right in his/her own way and 

None is superior to the other

• However knowledgeable one may be, 
• However experienced one may be and 
• However grasping type one may be!
