THE FLYING SALARY!

I worked hard, made sure the end product was out and thought coolly,
“Now I can get my salary in a royal way!”
But the wiseman was heard saying,
“Here a quality product is needed!”

I shook off myself, next time made sure the quality product was out and thought in a relaxed way,
“Now I can get my salary, sure!”
But the wiseman was heard again saying..
“You should bring out your product in time!”

I became attentive, made sure the quality product in time in the next batch and thought,
“Hope I can get my salary now!”
But the wiseman was heard once again reminding me,
“Your employer should be able to sell your product in market!”

I continued my work discipline, waited patiently for the sale to materialize and thought,
“My salary is now mine 100%!”
But the wiseman was is seen smiling and again reminding me,
“The competitor should not be in the way of your employer's future business!”

I became serious, worked smart and in parallel helped my employer succeed over the competitor in getting the orders and exclaimed,
“Ah! Done.. The salary fills my coffers!”
But not relenting, the wise man cautioned..
"Now the Customer should continue patronizing your product!”

I improved my skills, grasped the knowledge in the related fields, worked efficiently to produce the best end product meeting the changing needs of the customer and asked the wiseman,
“What do you say? None can stop my salary now!”
But strangely the wiseman quipped,
"True customer satisfaction can just become zero with a single mishandling of the situation!”

Totally surprised with the highest revelation made to me, I started working diligently with 100% care and alertness everywhere and strangely
FOUND NO TIME TO THINK OF MY SALARY!

  1. That is the right attitude for an ideal employ. But in India quite often employers exploit a lot. They expect a lot in many cases in exchange for meager wages. You go to any private school and many private companies that employ semi skilled labour, you will see this

    1. You said it very much right, Durga Prasad.. Exploitation is very much part of this activity but equally the constraints too dictate indirectly ever asserting the saying.. "Survival of the fittest!" Good social security measures and schemes alone indirectly safe guard against the odds in work life and the strict labor law implementation protects the work force from the exploitation aimed at by the Owners in the field.. Thanks for the explanatory comment on the subject!
