THE UNKNOWN JOY IN MY HEART.. WHEN DOES THAT TRULY SURFACE? #BlogchatterHalfMarathon 2.0

That evening as part of daily routine, I left my footwear, washed my feet and face and entered the temple premises..

• "Your body is the No 1 temple I gave you. Have you taken care of that body by sticking to the best health and safety practices? If not, complete that Sacred Activity before coming to Me hereafter!"

Was the No 1 reminder from God to me..

• "Your family is the No 2 Temple next to you. Have you taken care of your family to the best of your abilities? Promise yourself to improve in that direction as much feasible!"

Was the next reminder from the Lord as I started doing my Pradakshinas round the Idol..

• "Your Work Spot is the No 3 Temple, Nature organized for you. Have you done your work with all dedication? Promise yourself to improve in that direction as much feasible!"

Was one more reminder from the Almighty as I cleaned the floor around me, sat there and started the Prayer closing my eyes..

• "Certain minimum Financial discipline is must with you devoid of greed nor laxity. Promise yourself to do the required in that direction with full attention!"

Was the then silent reminder from the Lord as I completed my Prayer..

• "Have you spent some time relaxing yourself involving in what interests you and what is legally permitted? Promise yourself to do the required in that direction minimum feasible!"

Was the gentle reminder from the God as I got up and rang the Sacred Bell 3 times..

• Expressing yourself in an artistic way is the need of hour in your life. Promise yourself involve in that direction as much feasible!"

Was the then quiet reminder from the Lord as I was taking the Aarti..

• "Charity done elevates you in your life without a say. Promise to do the best in that direction as much feasible!"

Was the important reminder from the Almighty as I was taking the Theertham offered..

• "Respecting the religious practices of others without an exception is one of your duties. Promise yourself to do the best in that direction as much feasible!"

Was the valuable reminder from the Lord as I bowed down to offer my Salutations..

• "Have you spent certain of your time in Caring for others? Promise yourself to do something in that direction, however small it be!"

Was the subtle reminder from the Almighty as I started leaving the Place..

• "Include the above discipline in your day to day life and come to Me to Offer your Prayers, you are truly Blessed!

Was the final reminder from the Almighty as I came out of the Temple Premises and headed home filled with an unknown joy in my heart!

THE STORY OF KHEER!

 

"Chachu.. Shall I tell you a story?"

"Yes, dear.. Go ahead!"

"It's an old story, Chachu.. I modified it!"

"Modified? Great Beta.. Love to hear that!"

"One day, to a man in a village, the astrologer said,

'Today, you invite harm by consuming harmless kheer!'

Not believing that, the man reached home and to his surprise, he found his mom preparing kheer..

“Last week, because of some urgent work, I couldn't celebrate your Birthday. Today, I decided to do it with some kheer!"

She said..

A bit confused, he hastily left home promising his mom that he would return in some time, headed to the near by woods, climbed a tree and rested there on a branch deciding not to get down till sunset..

In some time, a person came there and rested under the tree for shade. After some time, he opened his bag and took out a tin.. Oh.. It was kheer..

Suddenly 2 thieves came that side and seeing them in distance, the man ran away leaving his tin of kheer. One thief saw the kheer and said to other,

"We are hungry. Let's consume this!"

The other said,

"I doubt some trap is laid here to catch us. This is not sweet kheer but poison. Let us search, the man who wanted to catch us may be hiding around!"

Saying thus, He searched around, looked up and saw the man there directly above. Both thieves pulled him down and holding him said,

"Do you want to poison us? Now consume this kheer yourself!"

"No.. No.. No!"

The man resisted out of panic. The thieves beat him and made him drink the sweet dish!

The Astrologer's words came true..

'Today, you invite harm by consuming harmless kheer!'"

"Ha.. Ha.. Ha.. Oh! So nice, Beta.. Your creation is wonderful!"

"Thank you Chachu.. I am happy you liked it!"

• As pockets start emptying, problems start mushrooming and when pockets become empty, faults come up plenty!

• In the beginning money in pocket looks like honey and the person rules like gunny; soon that money flows around smelling sweet and the person floats around with fragrance spread all over; in the end, that pocket money becomes boney and the person in picture becomes funny!

• Lending pockets and spending hands go together!

• As pockets start draining, rainy days start dancing!

• Mending a person with spending habit ever remains a pending task sending alarm signals around endlessly!

• Vending machines play endless music as spending habits dance non stop!

THE EVER LIVE STORY OF JEALOUSY!

On a day..

"It's really great.. My friend alone could do this and none else. He's really smart. I wish him all the best. We are celebrating to night!"

Screamed the person at the top of his voice and jealousy giggled softly behind..

Next day..

"Who else could have done this? He is my friend and so it happened. I'm too happy!"

Screamed the person again as jealousy moved one step towards him..

On the 3rd day..

"Yes.. He is better off now and me too no less. We are always one!"

He asserted saying firmly as jealousy moved 2 steps towards him..

In a week's time..

"Ok.. He might have got a benefit here. How does that matter to me? I am intact!"

He justified saying as jealousy moved 3 steps towards him..

Within a month..

"Agreed.. His benefit is great. But Me too no less. He got one way, I got the other way. That's it!"

He started doubly justifying his talk as jealousy started moving towards him at a faster pace..

In short time..

"What? He might have got something here. Why talk so much on that? See.... I'm no less!"

He said softly as jealousy moved closer to him..

In some more time..

"Always talk on his achievements as if we have nothing else to talk? Talk something worth!"

He said aloud as jealousy moved the closest to him..

In no time..

"Forget about his great achievements. I'm also no less. Let's talk something worth. Useless discussions!"

He started shouting at the top of his voice as jealousy embraced him tight..

In the end..

"Don't have anything else to talk? Always, this one great person and his great achievements.. Once more, if you mention his name, you don't know what I am going to do. Hell with him and his achievements. I curse him!"

He started screaming madly with jealousy engulfing him wholly as

THE TIME, WHEN THE SUN GOD REFUSED TO RISE..

'Namah Suryaya Shantaya Sarva roga nivaarine

Ayu Rarogya Maisvairyam Dehi Devah Jagatpate.'

It was year 1971..

"Chachu! Tomorrow's date is 01/11/71 and on this special day of this year, the Sun is not rising!"

The 10 yr old girl said to her Chachu with sparkling eyes the earlier day evening..

"Oh! is it, dear? What to do, Beta? We are in trouble!"

Said her Chachu pretending worried..

"You have to Pray to Sun God to rise!"

"Is it? Ok.. I'll do that, dear!"

"Yes, Chachu.. Don't stop praying till the Sun God rises!"

"Right, dear! We should do that!"

"Not we.. You should do that!"

"Why not all, Beta?"

"Yes, Chachu.. You start and we join you!"

"Ok, dear, I promise I do that but only if Sun does not rise!"

Said her Chachu with a smile..

That night as usual, the early riser to go for his work place 20 km away, the Chachu, set his alarm at 0500 AM for getting up in the morning and went to sleep..

The alarm set on the time piece went thru' sharp at 0500 AM, the Chachu got up, got ready and when the wall clock showed 0520 AM sat with his hot cup of tea to have a glance at the day's news paper but to his dismay found the news paper by then had not come..

He was glancing at the earlier day news paper and in between looking at his wrist watch and outside thru' the window for the twilight to appear so that he can start moving at his usual time 0545 for his bus..

Soon, it was 0540 hrs but strangely the outside twilight seen was missing..

He felt something odd and looked at wall clock..

He waited for 10 minutes.. Lo.. The clock moved to 0545 hrs.. 0550 hrs.. But no sign of light..

Suddenly he became impatient, repeatedly looked at wall clock in the hall at lower level, the alarm time piece and his wrist watch all showing by then time 0600 hrs, but there was no morning light..

"What the niece said that evening.. Was it happening?

'Tomorrow Sun God will not be Rising!'

How she could sense that?

Yes.. She...

Is she gifted with Divine Grace?

What's happening?"

A strange feeling took over him and without his own knowledge, he instantly prayed to the Sun God thru' the famous Sloka and beyond continued waiting..

Time moved on..

0615 hrs.. 0620 hrs.. 0625 hrs.. 0626 hrs.. 0627 hrs.. 0628 hrs.. 0629hrs.. 0630 hrs..

Time moved on limping but no sign of twilight..

"Good Morning, Chachu!"

The sweet voice of his niece was heard from behind..

"I was seeing you praying to God.. Ok.. He will come up now!"

'Yes.. She was right..

0635 hrs.. 0640 hrs.. 0645 hrs..

The shining twilight was seen in the Eastern Direction..

And in no time got brightened and the Sun God was preparing to show up..

The story ends here but the mystery behind that strange happening when dug into deepth was found to be..

The little girl secretly set the 2 time devices of her home and the wrist watches by advancing the time by an hr after all went to bed that night and she successfully did that job without anyone getting an iota of doubt!

'Shreyan swadharmo vigunah paradharmaat swanusshthitaat
Swadharme nidhanam shreyah paradharmo bhayaavahah.'

'Ever safe is one’s own duty than the duty of another even well discharged. Better is even death in one’s duty than the duty of another full of fear!'

Let me have goals and start working towards meeting them, my job is done for life if I really stop there!

GOAL means

As I started working sincerely towards my goal; my goal started keeping my path easy to tread!

None knows when ignorance lessens in me and the only way in front of me is start discharging my duties to core and wait patiently for the

DIVINE GRACE TO DESCEND!

Here alone problems come up many times, as I react to the comment, getting carried away for appreciation or feeling hurt for the criticism..

No way, being an ordinary human being with my own limitations, I instantly react to the comment and the related arguments surface and move on but the dust settles soon and clarity surfaces but this cycle with me goes on and on in my life as the powerful ignorance dictates me endlessly..

The only right discipline in this scenario of reactions is..

Let me not leave duties from my end at any point of time and beyond,

If it appeals to me, as much let me 

Retain a Smile

Keep Silence

For all feedbacks given to me positive or negative!

*** When the negative feedback was given to the Great Saint that He was consuming without working, the Great Saint proclaimed that He need not work as he had no desires..

When asked how he'd survive without work, He smiled and said,

"Some of you may feed me.. If not, I go hungry and in process if the body perishes, let it!"

• "I can Cajole opposing people thru' my narrative skills..
• I can Conquer challenging people thru' my arguing powers..
• I can Convince agitating people thru' my persuading skills..
• I can Comfort hurt people thru' my assurance capacities..
• I can Cater to illiterate people thru' my knowledge skills..
• I can Correct erring people thru' my advising capacities..
• I can Console suffering people thru' my understanding skills..

The 7 Cs of my strengths!"

I replied with a big smile..

"You are sure a dictionary of reference to people around you. As you do these activities, can you equally remain

Compassionate with people, 

THE SACRED 8TH C OF YOUR STRENGTH?"

The person of wisdom asked..

"What do you mean? I am automatically Compassionate with people, when I do all these!"

"May be, but before asserting on your talking strengths,

Check, double Check and re-Check

Yourself..

Many times, as you do these activities, without your own knowledge, you carry a superior feeling with you expecting the person to be ever below your level..

That way your helping remains no helping at all..

Instead, if you remain Compassionate there, that is a humble feeling in you filled with endless love for that person's betterment with no reference of comparison..

WHAT IS THE TRUE STRENGTH OF YOURS, IN THIS SCENARIO?"

I traveled back in history and it was the time, I was appointed as the Assistant to the Historical King....

That was my first day, in my Office..

With an air Authority, I gave clear-cut instructions to my staff next to me..

"In my Working Area everywhere, only one board should be displayed..

'At Your Service!'

At as many places as possible..

• All those boards should be daily cleaned thoroughly and kept sparkling,
• The letters on board should be bold and quite readable from distance and
• The board should carry a smile symbol all round the writing..

The moment a person enters the Office with a problem,

• He/she should be welcomed with the same smile,
• His/her problem listened to with all sincerity and He/she should be explained

• The complexity of the issue if any,
• The approximate time it takes to resolve the issue and
• The feed back that would be given to him/her in between

And

• Thus work out diligently towards solving the issue!"

"Are you really serious with your proposals?"

A Voice from behind asked..

"What do you mean?"

I shot back..

"Are you sure of implementing your plans with 100% success?"

"100% sure!"

"Look at your 'self!'"

"What is there to look at myself?"

"I'm saying look at your 'self!'"

"What?"

"Yes.. That 'self' in you.. Will it allow you to do, what you planned/proposed?"

"Why not?"

"From time immemorial, the Great Personalities fought with their 'self' non stop and they alone could bring it under control or could tame it!"

"Means, I..."

"You have to do many sacrifices before you talk on such things!"

"You mean to say.. I can't help people?"

"I'm not saying that you can't help. The No1 quality required with you in that situation is certain 

Humility and Calmness!"

"Can you be more clear?"

"As a person approaches you, you should

• Welcome him/her with a heart with a deep feeling within you that because of him/her only, you are in that seat,
• Listen to him/her whole heartedly,
• Look into the issue with dedication,
• Bring out the best solution in the situation

And

• Handover the solution with a smile on your face and a question within you..

'Could I have helped him/her better in the situation?'

And that attitude will make you be ready to resolve one's issue better, next time..

I advise you..

"Leave the show; do the duty!"

I became dumb..

Muttering courage, I asked,

"May I know, who you are advising me with such dedication?"

The Voice around became silent all of a sudden and as I looked at God's idol in front of me,

The Lord was seen smiling at me!

DOUBTLESS ACTIONS.. 'D' , 'S' AND 'S'.. AT ANY POINT OF TIME IN MY LIFE!

"I'm confused..

If I do action 'A' and something goes wrong, I'll be squarely blamed..

If I do action 'B' and something goes wrong, I'll be squarely blamed..

If I do action 'C' and something goes wrong, I'll be squarely blamed..

What to do?"

"Do action 'D' in the situation, beyond 'S' and ultimately 'S!'"

"What is 'D?' How that will solve my problem?"

"'D' is your varying duty in the situation!"

"I didn't get it!"

"Dear! Perception of duty from your end changes with time. At the moment what you perceive as your duty, do that 'D' without fail!"

"Then, what is 'S?'"

"'S' is.. Whatever happens when you do 'D', 

Take it with a smile..

OK.. What else is another 'S' then?

Beyond 'D' and 'S', the second 'S' is the 

Ultimate Action required from your end!"

"What is that?" 

"Keeping silence Beyond!"

MY CHARACTER.. FOREVER, 'THE GEM' NEXT TO ME!

"I'm not asking you to spoil your reputation. I'm saying, make it Realistic!"

"How?"

"Dear! My reputation at times will be based on untruth. That happens when I give importance to pleasantries from my end sidelining Truth..  

• Like minded people,
• Like minded talks and
• Like minded situations

Float around me building a fake world with me..

It becomes difficult to say 'NO' to this fake world all of a sudden and thus I will be eternally caught in the net of 

• Doing something I like and
• Not approved by general public..

Soon, I stop paying attention there and start looking at my pleasantries as saviors of my life.. 

That vicious circle never stops but the volcano below my those doings will burst one day causing unknown pain in me..

It's better I become conscious of this Reality and follow the Path of Dharma in front of me which ever ticks

• Law bound attitude from my end and equally suggests if feasible,
• Sticking to Morals, beyond,
• Sticking to Ethics, beyond,
• Sticking to Higher Level Truth thus
• Progressively increasing
• Sacrificing from my end which does ultimate good to me..

Such being the Reality, why are you not rising from the present rut with you by firming up to do the right from now onwards?"
